Ehud Kamar specializes in corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. He teaches Business Organizations and Mergers and Acquisitions.

Since joining USC Law in 2000, Professor Kamar has been teaching and conducting research in corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. He is especially interested in the interplay between law and economics; the balance between legal certainty and judicial flexibility; and the effect of corporate legislation and its judicial interpretation on the way corporations operate.

Professor Kamar has been a visiting professor at Hebrew University, New York University, and Tel Aviv University. He has practiced law in Israel and New York and has been a J. William Fulbright Scholar. Professor Kamar holds an LL.B. and an LL.M. from Hebrew University Faculty of Law, and an LL.M. and a J.S.D. from Columbia Law School.

His publications include "A Regulatory Competition Theory of Indeterminacy in Corporate Law," "Shareholder Litigation Under Indeterminate Corporate Law," "Price Discrimination in the Market for Corporate Law," "The Myth of State Competition in Corporate Law," "Beyond Competition for Incorporations," and "Going-Private Decisions and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002: A Cross-Country Analysis".
