An important tradition at USC Gould, this annual giving drive brings together hundreds of alumni across law firms and organizations worldwide to raise critical support for the law school. Every dollar raised helps build up USC Gould's excellence and ability to provide students with an outstanding legal education.

Show your Pride

• Improve Participation and Support
  By participating in the challenge, you help raise alumni participation rates and demonstrate to current and future students the value alumni place on their law school. This helps USC Gould to compete for the best students and faculty and maintain our elite status among the nation's law schools.


• Strengthen the Trojan Family Network
  The challenge taps into the legendary USC Gould Alumni network, providing an opportunity to unite where you work under the common purpose of supporting your law school in a friendly competition. Your participation sends a critical message to fellow alumni and the entire legal community: Our alumni give back.


• Promote Your Law Firm or Organization
  Participating organizations are acknowledged on our website and social media, as well as in publications, the law school building and during on-campus interviews.

Rules & Eligibility

The challenge kicks off in May and runs through the end of June each year.

• Any gift to USC Gould from alumni at participating firms made between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023 will be counted in the 2023 Challenge.


• Any firm, corporation or organization employing two or more USC Gould alumni is eligible to participate in the Law Firm Challenge. At least one alum must be willing to serve as a Challenge Representative.


• Firms compete in 3 groups based on the number of alumni employees: Group I (25 or more alumni), Group II (11 - 24 alumni) and Group III (2 - 10 alumni).

How to Win

Firms and organizations win when they reach 100% participation, meaning every alumnus at the firm has made a gift to USC Gould during the Challenge. Gifts can be made in several ways:

Appreciation

We proudly thank all of our participating firms online and in social media, in Gould publications, and at Early Interview Week. Special recognition will be given to our winning firms, those that reach 100% alumni participation. In addition, Dean Guzman visits participating firms throughout the year to thank them for their involvement in the Challenge.
